This is a near perfect example of a 100% factory original, super clean (almost unplayed) 1965 Fender Jazz Bass (SN# 100423) in beautiful, vibrant sunburst with a superbly rich tortoise pickguard. The pre-CBS appointments on this transitional period bass make this a very desirable instrument. The Clover tuners, unbound Brazilian Rosewood fretboard and absolutely perfect 9.6lb weight make this a prime, desirable example. Frets show little to no play wear and the back of the neck is smooth, glossy and hardly shows a mark or any wear. The body is in near mint condition as well and sports a vibrant, unfaded sunburst finish. The original hardware is all in pristine condition and the original tortoise pickguard is incredibly deep and beautiful.
I would consider this to be a perfect example of a collector-grade, 100% original, beautiful 1965 Fender Jazz Bass. From the rich sunburst to the great neck with a Brazilian fretboard, it really has it all in a perfectly minty package. This one is really a particularly great sounding and playing instrument as well.
