1963 Fender Stratocaster, serial number L04226, from Fender’s coveted pre-CBS
era. Alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard, delivering the unmistakable
feel and tone that made early-’60s Stratocasters legendary.
Player-grade example with a stripped and refinished body, painted fretboard
markers, and a crack on the back running from the neck plate area toward the
tremolo cavity. The pickguard wiring was cut during the stripping process, but all
electronics remain original, including the gray-bottom pickups, with the original
solder joints on the guard untouched. No case included. An excellent opportunity to
own a genuine pre-CBS Stratocaster with original electronics at a fraction of the cost
of a cleaner example.
