One of the most desirable years (1962) Big, wide neck and very old (20+ years), nicely aged refin. Purchased from original owner. This bass has been obviously enjoyed/ played and has some serious vibe, the factory original frets are very playable with plenty of life left. The beautiful Brazilian rosewood fretboard (and clay dot inlays) are in excellent playing condition. The tuners are the original, reverse clover tuners and the nut appears original. The bridge and covers are correct and the original pickguard while included shows a hole added next to where the jack once was, having broken at the original jack hole due to likely a combination of a possible pull of the cable and/or the typical shrinking of the original nitrate guard. I located a period correct (early 60’s) unbroken tortoise guard. This one (being an original fender from the early 60’s) is currently on the bass and has shrunk slightly as well. (Please refer to photos)

There is one original strap button and one replacement. Also, a few pickguard screws have been replaced. The pickups appear original and the body and neck dates are Nov 62 on the neck and 12/62 in the pickup route/ on the body.  There is a slight yet stable crack on the back of the neck near the headstock and the decal is an era correct looking repro. Case is a later mid-60’s original with Fender logo.  Knobs are also newer. Bass weighs a perfect 8.6 lbs and is in good condition.
